Yahoo! WebPlayer Update FAQ

Why does the player on my site look different?

We are constantly working on improving the Yahoo! WebPlayer and recently updated the player to the latest version on your website.

What new features are included in the new version?

The new version has the following features:
  • Sleek new look and feel, same innovative and unobtrusive design
  • Better support for Video, Audio and playlists that mix the two together
  • Two different themes to choose from - Black or Silver
  • Advanced new term recognition capabilities - just mention a movie title in quotes and we'll add a play button (make sure to enable this mode, we'll be adding additional categories, beyond movies, soon)

We are focused on making Yahoo! WebPlayer a truly "universal" player - highly customizable and built to support a wide variety of media formats.

How can I change how the player looks or behaves?

Currently the Yahoo! WebPlayer comes with two themes - black (the default) and silver. As a site owner, you can select the theme on this page, grab the new code and replace the Yahoo! WebPlayer code on your pages with the new code.

Can I go back to using the old player?
